Workshops
TheatrePeace currently offers the following fine arts workshops for students in Toronto and Southern Ontario. Workshops can be delivered in a variety of formats, the most common being a half-day. Please see bookings and contact for more information.

| Dance, Movement and Tableau |
This workshop focuses on exploring new rhythms of physical movement, developing and sustaining concentration, dance phrases, and group work. Beginning with tableau, students learn technique and create their own dances. |

| Mime |
The expressive, silent art of mime encourages focus, concentration and commitment. Students learn about basic gestures, run through a traditional solo mime piece, and create skits of their own in partners and in groups. |

| Improvisation and Role Play |
Students learn to create scenes involving motive, obstacles and tactics. Emphasis is on voice work, facial expressions, gestures, and body language. Students create theatre from games and activities, in pairs and groups. |

| Storytelling |
Through interactive stories told by our professional storytellers, children's imaginations are awakened and engaged. Games, activities and role play are used to explore the stories and encourage children to create stories of their own to share with the group. |

| Portrait Drawing |
This exciting visual arts workshop teaches elements of facial features, guidelines for constructing realistic faces on paper, and uses demonstrations from the class to engage children. Students learn that they CAN draw portraits! |

| West African Drumming and Dance |
We are happy to promote this wonderful workshop, which focuses on all aspects of traditional West African drumming, dance, and song. It is highly interactive and suitable for the whole school or individual classes. This workshop is offered independently by the artist. |
